書道教室：Calligraphy

先日、ブリスベン日本学園では、書道家の平山有紀先生と中井美和先生をお招きし、書道教室を開催しました。

普段は元気いっぱいで、おしゃべりも笑い声も絶えない子どもたち。

でも、ひとたび筆を手にすると、まるでスイッチが入ったかのように表情が一変します。

背筋がすっと伸び、目は真剣そのもの。

「さっきまであんなに賑やかだったのは誰だったの？」と思ってしまうほどの集中力です。

墨の香りに包まれながら、一画一画を丁寧に書き進める姿は、とても凛々しく、見ているこちらまで背筋が伸びるようでした。

書道の時間には、不思議な力があります。

子どもたちの中にある集中力や感性を、そっと引き出してくれる特別なひとときとなりました。

Recently, Japanese Language and Culture School of Brisbane had the pleasure of hosting a special calligraphy workshop led by professional calligraphers Yuki Hirayama and Miwa Nakai.

Our students are usually full of energy, laughter, and lively conversation. But the moment they picked up their brushes, the atmosphere changed completely.

Their backs straightened, their eyes focused, and their expressions became wonderfully serious.

It was hard to believe these were the same children who had been chatting and laughing just moments before.

Surrounded by the scent of ink, they carefully concentrated on each stroke, revealing a level of focus and creativity that was truly impressive.

There seems to be something magical about calligraphy. It has a unique way of bringing out children's concentration, patience, and artistic sensitivity.
