3学期スタート！

先週、Japanese Language and Culture School of Brisbane（JLCSB）では、いよいよ3学期がスタートしました。冬の寒さにも負けず、子どもたちは元気いっぱい！笑顔とやる気にあふれる様子が見られました。

さて今週は、そんな子どもたちの様子とあわせて、ブリスベン日本学園での学年別の学習内容についても少しご紹介したいと思います。どうぞ最後までお楽しみください。

まずは、教室での子どもたちの様子を少しだけご紹介します。

プレップクラスでは、ひらがなやあいさつの練習を通して、日本語の基礎を楽しく学んでいます。絵本の読み聞かせやリズム遊びもあり、教室にはいつも笑い声があふれています。

低学年クラスでは、簡単な文を読む・書く活動に加えて、日本の季節や行事にまつわる学びを進めています。

今週は、1・2年生が「日本のコンビニやスーパー、デパート」などをテーマにディスカッションを行い、日本の買い物文化について楽しく学びました。自分の経験と比べながら発言する姿も多く見られ、活発なやりとりが印象的でした。

また、3・4年生は「スクールホリデーに何をして過ごしたのか」をテーマに作文に取り組みました。楽しかった思い出を丁寧に言葉にすることで、表現力がぐんと伸びています。

Last week, the Japanese Language and Culture School of Brisbane (JLCSB) kicked off its third term.Despite the winter chill, the students returned full of energy, with smiles on their faces and a great sense of enthusiasm.

This week, we’d like to share a glimpse of what’s been happening in our classrooms, along with an overview of what each year level is learning. We hope you enjoy reading to the end!

Let’s begin with a peek into the classroom activities.

In the Prep class, students are enjoying fun and engaging lessons that focus on the basics of Japanese, such as learning hiragana and practicing greetings. The classroom is filled with laughter during storytime and rhythm-based games.

In the lower primary classes, students are working on reading and writing simple sentences while also learning about the seasons and cultural traditions of Japan.

This week, the Year 1 and 2 students participated in a lively discussion about Japanese convenience stores, supermarkets, and department stores. They enjoyed comparing these with their own shopping experiences, and the classroom buzzed with active conversations.

Meanwhile, the Year 3 and 4 students worked on writing compositions about how they spent their school holidays. Through this activity, they practiced expressing their personal experiences in words, and we could see their writing skills grow significantly.
